Feeling super at DC Superheroes Cafe, Marina Bay Sands
DC Comics Universe has opened a retail shop together with a superheroes theme cafe at the Shoppes Marina Bay Sands. The cafe is located at the third level of the ice rink area of the shopping centre. My sidekick and I came visit the cafe on a lazy Sunday afternoon around 2+-ish and to our surprise, the cafe was not crowded at that timing. Good for us, because we are pretty much starving after trying to save the day from those villains. Oh hello there, Superman!
There are comic strips plastering the wall inside the cafe. You can read comic strips from various DC Comics heroes such as Wonder Woman and Batman. I used to watch Wonder Woman on telly when I was younger but I never know the background story of this one strong woman. If you are like me, you can read the comic strip on the wall and gain some background information to get the "feel" of the cafe. Hahaha.
Superheroes cafe focuses mainly on Western food but do note that not all dishes have the signature remarks like the bat sign of batman or the S sign of Superman.
For instance, there is no sign of any superheroes whatsoever on the side dishes like this cheesy fries. If only, they can make the fries in the shape of a bat. =P #justanidea
But if you order the Batman's Dark Knight Burger, you will see the bat sign made from cheese on top of your black bun. The burger taste pretty good too. You may want to consider ordering this main dish if you are looking for Instagram-worthy picture.
On top of the main dishes, you can also order various drinks and cakes. I was pretty full from eating the burger though so I guess I will leave the drink and cakes for another date.
