Penang Weekend Trip: The Itinerary

One of the biggest complain about living in Singapore is that there is a limited amount of places where you can go for weekend trips. Singapore is literally just one city in a country so a trip out-of-town literally means an overseas trip. Another thing to consider is the budget required for the weekend trip. Living cost in Singapore only goes in one direction, UP. So, in times like these, it is very important to decide your destination wisely. The distance, the flight cost and timing, the cost of accommodation, the food price, all of these factors can be a make it or break it decision for weekend trip.

After some decision-making sessions, my weekend trip buddy and I have finally decided to go to Penang because:

(1) Weekends are enough to cover Penang's main attraction, Georgetown
(2) There's budget flight available
(3) 1 SGD = 3 RM (whee!)
