An Island Hopping Adventure on Krabi Island

I have visited Thailand for a few times and hence, I have never seen Krabi before. Since nowadays there are direct flights offered by budget airlines to Krabi from Singapore, we decided to go for a short break to Krabi one random weekend. We heard so much about the beautiful white sandy beach which seems to be the main trait of beaches in Krabi. Krabi has so many tiny islands, some of them are uninhabited. When you are in Krabi, it is highly recommended to book one day for an island hopping adventure. The view from the boat alone has already been fantastic. We really could not wait to reach the shore of one of the islands in Krabi.

Welcome to paradise! There are around 200 islands around Krabi coastline and can you imagine that most of these islands look like this one? White sandy beach, blue sky, white clouds and the coastal rocks. With a touch of the sun, it really looks like a paradise on earth.

There is an option to upgrade your island-hopping tour to snorkelling/ scuba-diving in the middle of the Andaman Sea. I am more of snorkelling person because I'm too scared to do a scuba diving. When the weather is nice, snorkelling is fun but it's not the case when the weather is not so good, which happened before in my last trip. =(

We walked up to the higher ground to catch the sunset view in Krabi island. It is pretty amazing. I really love sunset view of the beach. If you share the same interest, you may be interested in the sunset view of Senggigi Beach in Lombok and sunset view in Kuta Beach in Bali.

Bali Hotel Review: Grand Aston Bali Resort Tanjong Benoa

During my last visit to Bali with my family, we stayed in Tanjong Benoa area since we never stay at this part before. We chose to stay in Aston because my mum managed to find a great deal from her travel agent friend in Bali.

This is the twin bedroom that we booked. Bedroom does look cozy.

Wander in Indonesia: Sunset watching at Ku de Ta, Bali

Bali has a number of places to watch sunset, especially if you are willing to splurge. If budget is not an issue for you, you may want to consider do sunset watching at one of the bars along Seminyak called Ku De Ta.

Ku de Ta has indoor and outdoor area. But if you specifically go to Ku de Ta for sunset watching, you may need to come earlier to save your seat. As you can see, this is the view of the outdoor area around 5.30ish. Barely any place left for you to sit. The waiter told us that some customers came as early as 3pm in the afternoon. My goodness.

You always have the option to sit on the private beach area belongs to Ku de Ta though.

I always feel a tad melancholic whenever I saw a pretty sunset. Thanks God for the beautiful nature.

Wander in Indonesia: Kuta Beach, Bali

We ate so much during our trip to Bali. So much until we don't know what to do when our tummy is full. So...that's the reason why we ended up visiting Kuta Beach at 2PM in the afternoon.

The timing kinda explains why there were not many people on the beach. Anyone wanna play a counting game? Count the number of people spotted in the picture below. Hehe.

It's okay though, I can freely take picture as if Kuta Beach is my own private beach. #dream #wistfulthinking

Kuta Beach is linked to Discovery Shopping Mall. There are a number of hotels located pretty near to this shopping mall.

After we finished strolling the hot sandy beach, we went inside the shopping mall and...ended up eating again at Sour Sally. There are no calories in yoghurt, right?

Wander in Indonesia: Pura Tanah Lot (Tanah Lot Temple), Bali Island

My friend just mentioned about visiting Bali this summer. This kinda brings back the memories of our journey together 10 years ago. But I did visit Bali 3 years ago so I guess I have "more recent" pictures to share with you. One of the most popular tourist attraction in Bali is definitely the famous Pura Tanah Lot.

Pura Tanah Lot complex is actually a sacred area where believer pray to their god. So you may need to show some respect here even though the area is mostly commercialised nowadays.

With that being said, if you are willing to spend some money, the guide will bring you inside the temple and show (or even let you participate in) the religious ceremony. I did mention about the commercial part earlier, right?

Opposite this side, that's where the Pura Tanah Lot lies. There's a legend said that a big huge snake live on that island where Pura Tanah Lot built. Well some tourists do say that the island is really full of snakes.

If you visit Pura Tanah Lot during the low tide, you can cross the pathway and make your way to Pura Tanah Lot. As you can see in the picture, we came during the high tide. Oh well.

If you wonder whether you can do some shopping in Bali...you must really come to Pura Tanah Lot. The reason being in order to reach the area that I show you above, you must go through a huge market selling whatever goods they can sell, balinese shorts, keychains, peanuts, clothes, swimwear, shawl, sunglasses, hats, etc etc...the list goes on.

Lombok Hotel Review: Novotel Lombok Resort, Indonesia

For our last night in Lombok, we are staying at the West side of Lombok Island. We book a night with Novotel Lombok Resort because we heard a lot of good things about the resort. So why don't we go see how is the place. Jump!

A note about the bedroom, since the hotel is resort style, there is no lift here. The highest level is only level 3 but this may pose a problem for some people. If you don't feel like staying at the highest level, it would be better to request for a room at level 1.

The bed is awesome seriously. Not everyday can sleep on top of luxury. XD

Each room comes with a sofa under the TV. Sorry about the blur shot. I was probably too excited jumping on the bed. Hehehe.

And if that sofa is not alone, there's another armchair at the side of the bedroom. Awesome!!

I did not take a picture of the swimming pool because I was lazy to bring my phone. It's not that big actually, so I prefer to swim in the ocean. Here's a picture which I took from Google to give you the idea.

After all, since the location of the resort is pretty secluded, this resort is best suited for a couple on honeymoon I guess. But we are not complaining cause we do like some luxury ourselves.
