It's 5 days to my first Coldplay concert and I've been annoying every single soul that I know with lyrics from Coldplay's songs. Hahaha. Oh wait, Monday is soon over and it's gonna be...wait for it, 4 DAYS TO COLDPLAY CONCERT. AAAAAAAWWWW~ #crazyfangirl

Thankfully one of my lunch buddies is still willing to go lunching with me despite my crazy fangirling mode on Coldplay. She's quite funny today because she usually does not really like to each Chinese food #westernfoodlover but this time, anomaly happened. First, she proposed to meet up at Chinatown (what?) and second, she proposed to lunch at Chinese restaurant (double what?). 

Don't you feel that you just want to chill out by doing nothing after a hard work in the office? If yes, you may want to listen to Coldplay's latest album A Head Full of Dreams because the songs inside are epic dope, especially the song titled Up & Up. I can listen to that song forever in loop. Hahahah. Okay, enough random rambling and let's go to the lunch time story for the day.

My Thursdate and I went to Chinatown earlier because we were getting bored with the food around our office area. Like usual, we did not really know what to eat and decided to walk around Chinatown Point to see if they is any place which catch our interest. Suddenly, Thursdate chirped that she wanted to eat Thai food and here we were, at Lerk Thai. Turns out we did not really have to wander for long from the exit of Chinatown MRT. 

"Where should we eat?" is always the question every lunch time on a weekday. If you come out from your office after 12, chances are you will not be able to find a lot of places with available seats. This is even more challenging when you come with a big number of people. This happened to us at China Square Central, a popular eating place amongst people who are working in Raffles Place or Chinatown area. It was already 12.30 when we came out from office and as expected, most of the restaurants are packed. However, this Vietnamese restaurant who claims to serve authentic Vietnamese food, Viet Express, seems to have a lot of seats available. We decided to take out bet and eat here.

It's always a challenge to find a place to eat lunch in CBD whenever we are unable to come out from office before 12pm. So in those rare occasions when we can leave office earlier around 11.30 - 11.40ish, we can try out those restaurants which usually has a long queue in front of its door. And for today, it's time to go to Wang Dae Bak. 

Ann Siang Hill is a small hill and the name of a one-way road located near Amoy Food Market. The road derived its name after Chia Ann Siang, a wealthy Malacca-born Hokkien Chinese sawmiller.
