Lombok in 4 Days Full Itinerary - Summary

Lombok offers a beautiful escapade to both islands and mountain. The islands have been known as cheaper and yet equally beautiful alternative to Bali. In general, Lombok is quieter than Bali except for some of its popular spots such as the Gili Islands and Senggigi Beach. If you prefer mountain escapade, various hiking trails to Mount Rinjani are pretty popular (and yet challenging too) amongst local and overseas visitors. Personally speaking, 4 days is enough to cover Lombok if you do not include diving/ hiking activity in the itinerary. My itinerary below is more suitable for family with kids because it's rather laid-back in nature and does really involve physical activities (because my uncle and aunts are already in their 60s).

~ DAY 1 ~

- Visit Sukarara Village, traditional weaving village

- Visit Banyumulek Village, traditional pottery village

- Visit Pura Lingsar, a temple displaying harmonious relationship between Hinduism and Islam

- Check in to hotel, The Jayakarta Lombok Hotel & Spa, Senggigi

- Sunset watch at Senggigi Beach

~ DAY 2 ~

- Explore Pink Beach, the pink colored sands of Lombok island

~ DAY 3 ~

- Enjoy beautiful panoramic view of Lombok island from Malimbu Cliff

- Explore the three Gili Islands: Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno

- Check in to hotel, Novotel Lombok Resorts and Villa

~ DAY 4 ~

- Enjoy morning view of Mandalika Beach

- Visit Mawi Beach, a popular surfing spot in Lombok

- Experience traditional culture and lifestlye of Sasak tribe in Sade Village

Anyone else eagerly anticipating summer?

Indonesia Travel: Gili Meno and Gili Air Islands, Lombok

Hey ho! We are really beat after having fun in Gili Trawangan (see here and here). But, our adventure did not end there as we still have two other Gili islands to hop onto.

First, we are going to the nearest one, Gili Meno. Which is more like a nature reservation instead of tourist place. There's only one inn here. Hence, not many people spotted on the island.

Oh well, hello nature I guess! =)

I really love the scenery where blue sky, white clouds, blue ocean and white sandy beach coming together. Pretty! =)

The next Gili island, Gili Air is definitely more touristy than Gili Meno. There are more people spotted on the island. And there are inns and restaurants as well, although not as many as the ones in Gili Trawangan.

The view in Gili Air is super fantastic too!

If you have the time, you can visit the three Gili islands in one day. But if you prefer to spend one day playing at one island, that option is open too. Oh gosh, I really love the ocean! <3
