Wandering Fel

The path is pretty much green. And this is something that we don't see everyday in our big city life. So yeah, quite appreciate the chance.

There is a small river in the middle of the path. We really feel like we are in the wilderness. Except for the fact that there are so many tourists coming down together with us. 

The birds were chirping and our green walk continued. 

At the bottom of the path, there is a small waterfall spotted. I suppose this is where the river goes. Notwithstanding the size, the sound of a waterfall is still pretty much serene. =)

For the access to Goa Gajah, you need to pay entrance fee of IDR 20,000. Goa Gajah is actually a Balinese temple. The words "Goa Gajah" is derived from "Lwa Gajah" which means a monastery located in the edge of the river. 

On the side of Goa Gajah, you can see the remnants of a building which collapsed during an earthquake. Such a pity. =(

Right in front of the entrance of the cave, you will see a pond of holy water. There are fishes swimming inside the pond. The local tour guide mentioned that there is a hearsay amongst the local saying that the fishes inside the pond stays the same in terms of the size and the quantity. 

The holy water is use by the people to wash themselves when they want to pray or meditate inside the cave.

On the other side of the cave, we spotted another Balinese statue. 

Do note that if you want to enter the cave, you need to borrow cloth to cover your legs if you are not wearing pants. It may be a good idea to wear covered clothes when visiting religious sites in Bali.
