Singapore Eats: Discreet Lunch at Sifu, Bugis

Whenever my close colleague and I want to have a discreet conversation about our work and outside work life, we like to go somewhere a little farther from our office in Raffles Place. Today, we happened to go to Bugis and spotted a quite new eating place called Sifu at Bugis Junction.

Sifu is kinda similar to a Hong Kong cafe. Its speciality menu is its Hong Kong noodle. My colleague ordered noodle served with chicken chop and steamed wontons (re: pork dumpling).

While I ordered pork chop noodle. The price for both dish is around the same at approximately S$10 before tax. The taste for both dish is quite yummy. I find them to be tastier than those typically tasteless Hong Kong noodle.

For a kind of dessert, we ordered the condensed milk bun but the real condensed milk bun from Tsui Wah in Hong Kong taste way better than this one. Sorry, Sifu!

For the drinks, we ordered the milk tea. It tastes average but it's also probably due to the fact that we were busy chatting, we ended up drinking it kinda cold. I prefer the Hong Kong milk tea from Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe to this.

If you want to try Sifu, you may want to stick to the noodles. They do have other type of buns to try from though. Maybe next time, when we have another discreet lunch in another day.

Macau Eats: Hong Kong Noodle, The Venetian Food Court

The Venetian food court sells a variety of food from all over the countries. It even sells chicken rice, I am not kidding you.

The food court area is very big so finding seats here is usually not an issue.

We definitely gave chicken rice a pass in Macau (of course, right?) and opted for ~~Macau dish~~ Hong Kong noodle. Ironic, much? Haha.

Since there were three of us, we ordered three types of Hong Kong noodles. The first one is the chili prawn noodles.

Prawn wantons soup noodle.

Minced meat and mushroom noodles. I like this one the best because the other two taste pretty bland while this one at least..has the taste of the sauce. XD

There are so many food offered at the food court. If you stay a few nights at the Venetian, you will have more time to try other food in the food court or in the restaurants in the Venetian.

Hong Kong Eats: Tsui Wah Revisited, Tsim Sha Tsui

Ten at night and still feeling hungry? You don't have to worry when you are in Hong Kong. And that's precisely why my friend's cousin still so hyper and decided to bring us out for dinner at you-are-not-gonna-burn-the-calorie timing. Hello again, Tsui Wah!

1. Iced Milk Tea - yummy, cannot go wrong anywhere in Hong Kong (I think)

2. Fried Kway Teow - Similar to char kway teow, the oil level too is worrying. =P

3. Prawn Crispy Noodle - yum, quite like this dish especially seldom find this in Singapore.

4. Wanton Soup - wantons are big enough to satisfy my hunger.

6. Yong Tau Foo - the broth is milky but other than that, taste similar to Singapore's version of yong tau foo.

After this kind of meal, I believe we went back to hotel...rolling on our belly. LOL.
