Anyone else eagerly anticipating summer?

Indonesia Travel: Mawi Beach, Lombok

We are finally here, at the last beach to visit in Lombok, Mawi Beach. It kinda feels sad knowing that we are leaving the sea soon. *cry*

The beach is quite unique in view of its shape. It does look like a concave pond. Hahaha. The next 3 pictures will explain clearer. LOL.

I should have probably used a photo editing software to combine the above three pictures but I'm too lazy. Hahaha hope you get the idea.

Anyway, since it's the last time I went to the beach in Lombok, I'm gonna run to the sea and enjoy most of my time. Yeah! Until next time, dear Lombok! =)

Indonesia Travel: Mandalika Beach, Lombok

After breakfast, it's time to ~~sleep~~ hit the beach! Novotel Lombok Resort has direct access to the beach. So we just need to walk a bit toward the sea.

Hello morning sea!

This is how the sands look like. The locals call it pepper sand. It does look like pepper-ish. =P

The beach is named after a princess who was fought over by three princes from big kingdoms. Apparently the princess cannot decide who to marry because she's afraid if she refuse one or another, the kingdom will fall into a war. So the noble princess decided to jump into the sea instead of choosing one of them. Quite sad indeed.

We decided to be a little bit adventurous and following the local kids' direction, we went to check out another beach. The road is not far but we need to cross a not-so-steady-bamboo-bridge. Hello cousin! Hahaha.

Whoa! No regret in walking a bit because the view from the other beach is fantastic! <3

Indonesia Travel: Gili Meno and Gili Air Islands, Lombok

Hey ho! We are really beat after having fun in Gili Trawangan (see here and here). But, our adventure did not end there as we still have two other Gili islands to hop onto.

First, we are going to the nearest one, Gili Meno. Which is more like a nature reservation instead of tourist place. There's only one inn here. Hence, not many people spotted on the island.

Oh well, hello nature I guess! =)

I really love the scenery where blue sky, white clouds, blue ocean and white sandy beach coming together. Pretty! =)

The next Gili island, Gili Air is definitely more touristy than Gili Meno. There are more people spotted on the island. And there are inns and restaurants as well, although not as many as the ones in Gili Trawangan.

The view in Gili Air is super fantastic too!

If you have the time, you can visit the three Gili islands in one day. But if you prefer to spend one day playing at one island, that option is open too. Oh gosh, I really love the ocean! <3
