An Island Hopping Adventure on Krabi Island

I have visited Thailand for a few times and hence, I have never seen Krabi before. Since nowadays there are direct flights offered by budget airlines to Krabi from Singapore, we decided to go for a short break to Krabi one random weekend. We heard so much about the beautiful white sandy beach which seems to be the main trait of beaches in Krabi. Krabi has so many tiny islands, some of them are uninhabited. When you are in Krabi, it is highly recommended to book one day for an island hopping adventure. The view from the boat alone has already been fantastic. We really could not wait to reach the shore of one of the islands in Krabi.

Welcome to paradise! There are around 200 islands around Krabi coastline and can you imagine that most of these islands look like this one? White sandy beach, blue sky, white clouds and the coastal rocks. With a touch of the sun, it really looks like a paradise on earth.

There is an option to upgrade your island-hopping tour to snorkelling/ scuba-diving in the middle of the Andaman Sea. I am more of snorkelling person because I'm too scared to do a scuba diving. When the weather is nice, snorkelling is fun but it's not the case when the weather is not so good, which happened before in my last trip. =(

We walked up to the higher ground to catch the sunset view in Krabi island. It is pretty amazing. I really love sunset view of the beach. If you share the same interest, you may be interested in the sunset view of Senggigi Beach in Lombok and sunset view in Kuta Beach in Bali.

Thailand Travel: Summer Vacation at Phi Phi Island, Phuket

Summer is the best time to spend at the beach. And if you are ocean lover, it may be a good idea for you to spend summer at the island which is known as "heaven" in Thailand, Phi Phi Island. A day tour to Phi Phi Island starts with a boat ride from Phuket Marina Bay and the ride takes around 1 hour. We were so happy when we saw the shore is near.

We took a walk along the sea shore and had fun with all the white sands and the blue ocean. The weather was hot as usual (well, it's tropical country so hot weather is kinda inevitable) but we were having fun.

If you are a rock collector, you will have a blast here finding all kind of sea rocks laying on the beach.

I love the view from here although it's kind crowded with all the sailing boats around.

We walked further down to the not-so-crowded part of the island. And enjoying the view of the sea and the clouds while waiting for the sun to set.

When the sun has completely set, it was time for us to ride our boat back to the main island of Phuket. If you are thinking of spending the night in Phi Phi Island, you can check the available hotel and hotel rates at Expedia or Tripadvisor. Phi Phi Island Beach Resort or Phi Phi Bayview Resort can be a one of the good resorts available for staying over at Phi Phi Island.

Bali Hotel Review: Grand Aston Bali Resort Tanjong Benoa

During my last visit to Bali with my family, we stayed in Tanjong Benoa area since we never stay at this part before. We chose to stay in Aston because my mum managed to find a great deal from her travel agent friend in Bali.

This is the twin bedroom that we booked. Bedroom does look cozy.

Summer Vacation in Hong Kong

Since there are not much things to do in Taiwan when it's kissed (or slammed?) by a typhoon, I decided to do a some kind of late-post about my trip to Hong Kong in June. =P

Welcome to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)!

I grabbed a tourist booklet in the airport (there's a map inside). As what the booklet says, I expected an exhilarating summer in Hong Kong. Hehehe.

We stayed at Butterfly on Prat Hotel which is located at Tsim Sha Tsui area. Since we are lazy to lug our luggage all the way from the MRT station, we decided to ride an airport limousine instead. You just need to purchase the ticket from the Airport Hotelink counter at the arrival terminal. After you tell the counter staff the name of the hotel where you are staying, they will inform you the price and give you a ticket. Then you need to follow the staff to the waiting area for the bus and wait until your hotel name get called.

The bus is quite comfy and cozy too.

Passed by Tsing-Ma Bridge and we are ready to have fun in Hong Kong. Woot!

Taiwan Travel: A summer day at Shifen

We are back to Shifen! Simply because it's such a waste to spend a summer day doing nothing at home (although I am a huge fan of taking a nap). =P

So yeah, Shifen, 我回来了! (Wǒ huíláile/ I am back!)

We are going to see the waterfall because my friend has not seen it before. Along the way we saw the railway and a lot of people are taking picture with it (including my friend). Hehe.

If you are wondering if you are able to see the waterfall from on board the train, well no, you can't. So the only way to see the waterfall is by purchasing the entry ticket for access to the waterfall. The waterfall in summer...is kinda dry though.

How do I know? Well, it kinda looks different from the picture on the ticket for a start.

It's still pretty though albeit hot. Very hot. The sun is burning.

On the way back, we bought a pouch where we can hang our keys inside. Ironically, we have not used it until today. Hahaha. They look so cute though. The seller claimed that she has sewn them by her own hands. Handmade. MIT (made in Taiwan). =P
