Hong Kong Eats: Tsui Wah Revisited, Tsim Sha Tsui

Ten at night and still feeling hungry? You don't have to worry when you are in Hong Kong. And that's precisely why my friend's cousin still so hyper and decided to bring us out for dinner at you-are-not-gonna-burn-the-calorie timing. Hello again, Tsui Wah!

1. Iced Milk Tea - yummy, cannot go wrong anywhere in Hong Kong (I think)

2. Fried Kway Teow - Similar to char kway teow, the oil level too is worrying. =P

3. Prawn Crispy Noodle - yum, quite like this dish especially seldom find this in Singapore.

4. Wanton Soup - wantons are big enough to satisfy my hunger.

6. Yong Tau Foo - the broth is milky but other than that, taste similar to Singapore's version of yong tau foo.

After this kind of meal, I believe we went back to hotel...rolling on our belly. LOL.

Taiwan Eats: A typical breakfast in Taiwan

I love eating breakfast in Taiwan. Most of my breakfast in Singapore nowadays consist only bread. But for nearly same price, you can get a breakfast combo in Taiwan consist of...

1. A glass of milk tea

A choice of either..

2. Fried egg and sausages

or..

3. Spaghetti

Btw, do you know the Chinese name of Spaghetti Bolognaise? It's actually quite easy to memorise, 肉醬義大利面 (ròu jiàng Yìdà lì miàn). 肉醬 is literally translated to meat sauce. And I kinda like the Taiwanese version of Bolognaise. It has the homey feeling in a Taiwanese way. I suppose it's because we didn't eat this at some kind of a luxury restaurant. We had these meals at hole-in-the-wall kind of breakfast place. Which makes it kinda home-ish? Hehehe.

The combination of milk tea + fried egg/ sausages costs around 50-55 NTD while the combination of milk tea + spaghetti costs around 70NTD. Cheap eh? =)

Taiwan Cafe: Cama Cafe, Gongguan

If you love to chill out in a cafe, Taipei is a place for you to be. There are cafes at every corner in Taipei. I love it!

The mascot of this one particular cafe drew me in.

Cama cafe is one of coffee shop's franchise in Taiwan. Its size is smaller when compared to Starbucks.

But it serves a variety of coffee from americano to espresso to latte to macchiato. And it's way cheaper than Starbucks.

If you are non-coffee drinker, Cama Cafe sells tea and chocolate too. Yummy!

Not sure why the Christmas decoration are still hanged. But I do notice that Taiwanese like to leave out Christmas decorations at certain places. Well, one year is passing by very quickly. I suppose they will spare the hassle by leaving the decorations hanging there? LOL.

If you want to brew your own coffee at home, you can buy the coffee powder at Cama Cafe. I'm not a fan of DIY coffee because I'm such a lazy bum at home. That, and I like to hang out with friends outside my house because my house is very small and there's basically no space for all of us to move around.

Finally, my order of ice milk tea is ready. Time to slurp it happily. I love Taiwanese milk tea. Awesome! ^^
