Even though there is no Clinton Street in Singapore does not mean the restaurant cannot be authentic, I suppose. The decoration for a start seems to suit a typical New York eatery just fine.

So, what's good at Clinton St Baking Company & Restaurant? For a start, it seems that it is famous for the southern style fried chicken (which is often featured in US' cooking TV show like Masterchef, etc.). The "Amazing Southern Style Fried Chicken and Corn Bread" comes with two pieces of fried chicken, a corn bread and a tiny tub of coleslaw. The corn bread has jalapenos inside but I don't find it nice though. Maybe my tastebud cannot accept jalapenos inside corn bread. The fried chicken, on the other hand, taste crispy but it can do better in the seasoning department. I dunno but KFC in Indonesia serves better fried chicken, in my opinion. (While KFC in Singapore sucks...zzz).

I love Clinton St. Omelette though. At $18 a plate, you can choose two types of fillings for your omelette. Pick cheddar if like your omelette to be cheesy (in a good way). The omelette is served together with hash brown and sour dough toast. I prefer the omelette to the fried chicken. After all, eggs are always perfect for meal. #egglover
