Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin, Tokyo Japan
There used to be a Ginza Bairin in Singapore and I really liked having tonkatsu there then until they are gone for good. So I was so excited to find out that the restaurant is still doing well in Japan. Just as its name, the restaurant is located in main street of Ginza. We came around 12.15PM and there was already a snacking line of queue to the restaurant. Most of the customers seem to be tourists.
The menu has English translation so you don't have to open your Google Translate app. I ordered the pork tenderloin katsu set which comes with green tea, miso soup, white rice served with my favourite Japanese cabbage salad (which pair so well with sesame sauce).
Because of the strong SGD currency against JPY, the meal only costs <$15 which is impossible to get in Singapore for similar set of tonkatsu. I really enjoyed this meal and am already looking forward to visit Japan again.
