Welcome to Yongkang Street, Taipei

As I was kinda lazy to walk far, we are going to explore a place so near to my school, NTNU. Before you scream BOO, the place that we are going today is awesome. I tell you, it's gonna be awesome. Hehe.

We are going to where the foodie lover will flock, Yongkang Street!

The road is actually very long and when you start from behind the school, you will only see residential building. No restaurants in sight yet.

Once you cross this street, you have reached the foodie section.

Rilakkuma has its own store here. Too bad it's not Rilakkuma Cafe. The shop sells stationeries and accessories and other stuff with Rilakkuma's face. Hehehe.

You will see a park along the way. A lot of neighbourhood children play in the park. So happy.

Eating Taiwan Snacks with You who Came from the Star

How's everyone doing? Lately I did not have enough sleep. Not due to my active social life though. (Actually, I'm kinda anti-social. XD). I stayed up late at night to catch...

...my man from the star. Kyaa~~

I have a habit of not-finishing-watching (okay, pardon my grammar) K-drama. But I've made exception for this series because the drama is just so addictive. I've found out about the drama from...LINE stickers. Hahaha. I suppose Line did a good job in the marketing department. LOL.

The not-so-healthy-thing about following a drama series is that you end up munching a lot of snacks (or is it just me?). Like the squid snack that I've bought from 7-11.

I am also busy munching on...Japanese version of Oreo cookies. Hahaha.

And don't forget the dessert, mango ice cream. Oh gosh. It's already good enough I do not watch the show while having chicken and beer, I suppose? =P

Taiwan Travel: Beautiful Nature at Taroko Gorge, Hualien

After long hours of riding a car, we have finally arrived at the most famous location in Taroko, the Taroko Gorge and Eternal Spring Shrine Trail. Yippie!

If you go with tour, you will not make a stop at this location cause there's no way a bus can park nearby. You can only access this spot if you are either taking cab or mini bus. Btw, did you notice human face in this picture?

The right side of the rock cliff indeed resemble human face, right? Don't you agree?

Under the right side cliff, you can spot a cave and a road going into the cliff. The cab driver told us that the road was used to be part of hiking trail but it's no longer accessible now due to earthquake and landslide in recent months. Kinda scary, when you think of it.

After another 30 mins drive, we have reached another spot called Eternal Spring Shrine Trail. You will see a lot of tourists starting from here. Because this place is accessible by tour bus.

The Eternal Spring Shrine is one of the most picturesque landmark of the park and it is also served as memorials for war veterans.

I never know rocks can be picturesque. Hahaha.

There is a road went into the cave and if you continue walking you will see an altar for praying. If you walk further I suppose you can reach the shrine but none of us was adventurous enough to walk that far. =P

After we spent enough time walking around and enjoying the view, we hopped back into the cab to go to our next destination, Hualien. See you in Hualien! ^^
