The journey on Ngong Ping cable car from Tung Chung Town Centre to Ngong Ping on Lantau Island will last approximately 25 minutes. You will be able to see breathtaking panorama of Hong Kong International Airport, mountainous terrain of Lantau Island, Tian Tan Buddha and the 360-degree view of the Ngong Ping plateau. That's why it's called Ngong Ping 360 I suppose. There are two type of cabins to choose from: (1) Standard cabin and (2) Crystal cabin. If you are willing to pay more to skip the queue, you may want to get the private cabin as the ticket will allow you to skip the entire queue to get your access to your cabin. Private standard cabin costs HKD3,500 while private crystal cabin costs HKD4,500. 

The Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha) is clearly visible from inside the cable car. This will be our destination once we have reached Ngong Ping at Lantau Island.

Tian Tan Buddha is a majestic bronze Buddha statue which is constructed at Po Lin Monastery. The statue took whole 12 years to complete

You will need to climb the 268 steps to have a closer look at Tian Tan Buddha. In addition, you will be able to see the mountainous and sea views from its base. 

Tian Tan Buddha has drawn pilgrims from all over Asia and just at the opposite of the statue, lies the Po Lin Monastery where visitors can go to pray. There is also a popular vegetarian restaurant located inside the monastery. 

If you are taking the private cabin, the cost of the ticket covers the ticket for the multimedia attraction called Walking with Buddha in Ngong Ping 360. The multimedia attraction allows visitors to follow the life of Siddharta Gautama, the man who became Buddha, and his path to enlightenment.

It is basically an indoor boat cruise attraction. So all you need to do is sit on the boat and enjoy the view and the song as your boat is carried on a journey around the world. 

Walt Disney himself named this ride "the happiest cruise that ever sailed". I kinda got the feeling too when I rode this attraction. 

During the ride, you can see children doll (not in a horror way I'm grateful for it) moving and dancing to the background songs, depend on which country they are from. This is really clever concept as whoever ride this attraction, no matter where they come from, will feel so welcomed here. 

The main OST called "It's A Small World" is the only song which never copyrighted by Disney. So that the world can just use the song anywhere. This request has been personally made by UNICEF. 

If there's a Disneyland in Singapore, I suppose I will just go there whenever I feel sad. After all, it is the happiest cruise that ever sailed around the world. =)

Right outside the theatre, there is a fun-looking souvenir store. To be honest with you, all souvenir stores inside Disneyland is really a trap for your wallet because the merchandises sold are so cute, you can't help buying something. Unless you have a really steel-power of resistance. XD

This is the place to buy for the Disneyland's snow globe. 

All Disney characters have their own keychains. In different costumes too. 

It also has cute plush toys like this Donald Duck who can grab your finger. I suppose he will be a cute decoration to your pen or pencil. XD

A good ol' advice: Bring extra cash when you go to Disneyland.

I'm so ready to enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy. And definitely no paperwork to do here. I'll do that everytime (everytime I have the chance, I guess). XD

This is the main street USA which is the first area in Disneyland Hong Kong which you will step into after the ticketing area. The area is filled with restaurants, bakeries, souvenir stores and photo store (where you can see and buy any pictures taken by Disneyland staff inside the park).

There's also a cinema here but we did not really see if it's really a cinema or a store. We were too busy looting the Disney store beside the cinema.

All kinds of balloon are sold here. Kinda tempted to buy one but it will be a chore to bring balloon when you want to ride something here. 

At the end of the main street, you will be welcomed by the fantastic view of the Sleeping Beauty Castle and Sorcerer Mickey. 

Be prepared for some magic here. 

10 minutes later, the situation has completely changed. People has started securing the place to watch the parade now. A lot of umbrellas are shown in the picture not because it was raining that day. It was so freaking hot up to the point all the UV protected umbrellas were all opened. XD

The crowd is cheering for Mickey when the parade starts. The flying Dumbo is the act opener for the Flights of Fantasy parade. 

From afar, we could notice that Mickey is making his way slowly to our direction. The parade actually lasts for quite a while, around 35 minutes. It's started from Disney Storybook Theatre toward the Sleeping Beauty Castle roundabout and continued on to the Main Street USA view area. 

The parade is actually pretty amazing because each cart is decorated according to the theme of whoever's riding the cart. For instance, here is the Disney princesses swan carriage.

All the fairies were coming up next to make way for Tinkerbell's carriage. 

I like the decoration of carriage from Toy Story the most. Because you can see the Green Army Men keep jumping up and down. So creative! (and exhausting maybe, for whoever acts as these toy soldiers.)

You should not miss the parade because it's really filled with music, dancing and fun entertainment. 

Thankfully, there are a lot of pictures and quotes painted at the wall surrounding the queue line, so we were not that bored after all. If only they provide free honey here...

One hour later, it's finally our turn to ride the honey jar. Woot! 

The ride was quite fun. Basically, we were brought into Winnie the Pooh's world, Hundred Acre Wood while sitting inside the honey jar cart. Even though this ride is catered more towards the younger kids, we still enjoyed it at the age of 25 years old. LOL.

Right after alighting from the cart, you will come out at the souvenir store. And being Winnie the Pooh ride, there are a lot of cute souvenirs here. Piglet and Tigger keychains anyone?

And the main character of the ride, Pooh! Say hello to Pooh! =)

In the Royal Banquet Hall, the disguised kings and queens can order the food by going to any food station. The waiter/ waitress will put the food of your choices on your tray. Once you are done ordering, please make payment at the cashier, your majesty. 

Right in the middle of the banquet hall, there is a statue of Beauty and the Beast. Kinda elevate the royal atmosphere inside the banquet hall, ain't them?

So what are we having here in this amazing banquet? For a starter, we have the tomato soup served with garlic bread.

For the mains, we have the seafood fried rice. I was kinda hoping the fried rice is served in Mickey Mouse style but on second thought, there's no way they can shape every single rice in Mickey Mouse's head. XD

But on the other hand, pizza can be easily shaped and voila! Her comes our Mickey Pizza. To tell you the truth, we bought this pizza simply due to the shape. At least, the pizza taste okay enough for our tastebuds. 

If you have the time, you may want to book a table at Crystal Lotus. I heard their certain dim sum dishes are shaped in Disney characters like the aliens from Toy Story. I'll try it in my next visit, I guess.

The seats for the show "Festival of the Lion King" is allocated based on first-come-first-served. The most front row is reserved for the disabled, those with young kids and those with the elderlies. If you can come earlier, I would suggest you come earlier to queue in order to secure the 2nd row of the seats. Because the view is amazing from there.

And you can see Timon and Pumba up close! 

Hakuna Matata~~~what a wonderful phrase. It means no worry for the rest of your days. Oops, sorry, I can't help not joining the fun. XD

The ending is really amazing because they play the epic scene and the awesome song "Circle of Life". A total epic ending. #clappinglikemad

The show is held inside an air conditioned room so this will be a good place to go if you want to hide from the sun. =P

One thing about Disneyland is...their roller coaster rides will not be as scary as those at Universal Studio or worse, Six Flags! But it does not mean there is no warning sign here. In fact, you are given a last chance to exit the queue. LOL.

Obviously I could not take any pictures while riding a roller coaster. The ride was pretty much fun so I encouraged you to queue up and yes, there is only one scary part where there is a sudden drop. Well, you just need to scream I guess. Hehe. 

On the way back to Adventureland, we saw a photo spot with Sleeping Beauty castle as the background. Ah, when will my Prince Charming come? #emo

Okay, enough emo moment for now. We were finally back at Adventureland (again). You should probably learn from our mistake and check the show times early when you just enter the park to avoid wasting time and energy. =P

We were getting kinda hungry but since the Festival of the Lion King show will start in another 30 minutes, we did not want to risk a full-house theatre. So, we bought a chocolate egg waffle to nibble while waiting for the theatre door to open. 

A few nom(s) after, the theatre guard started to distribute stickers to the queuing audiences. I got Minnie Mouse. ^^

I'm so ready to meet Simba and sing Hakuna Matata.
