7D Korea Golden Rama Tour: Hello Kitty Island, Jeju Part 2
Anyeong! We are continuing on our visit to Hello Kitty Island on Jeju Island. In the previous post, we have explored a part of the entrance, the cafe and even the washroom which are all decorated in Hello Kitty's favourite color, pink. There is nothing much on level 3 of the building because most of the space is taken by a video-interactive room showing Hello Kitty videos in Hangul. Unless you are well-conversed in Hangul, level 3 of Hello Kitty Island most like will not interest you in one but. Since all the above levels are checked, it's time for us to go back downstair to level 1 of Hello Kitty Island to check out the other parts of this level. First, how about some history lesson?
At one side of the exhibit on level 1, you will be able to see the birthday (or more like creation date) of all Sanrio characters. I love Bad Badzt Maru the most and he was born on the year 1993. Ahh this explains why this character was so popular throughtout my primary school years. I still remembered the first watch that my parents bought for me, it was Bad Badzt Maru's watch. Awww.
Ooh, I am apparently 9 apples tall. I wonder if this can be consider an accomplishment. Probably not since I know that I am considered short out there. Sadz. But there's nothing heels or platform shoes can't do. Hehe.
At the next-door room, you will be transported right to Kitty's house. Anyeong Kitty and Mimmy, may I self-invite myself to sit at your living room? Oh my, you girls have such a wonderful collection of plush toys at your cabinet. And most of them are the mini version of yourself, what a high love display shown for yourself, I see. Oh no no, no sarcasm implied of course, where is my manner? Hahaha (suddenly imagining self speaking in posh British accent, I do have some fetish for this particular accent, I find them sexy).
Being awfully close to Mama Kitty with expectation to be adopted into Kitty's household. While at the same, real Mom is helping me taking this picture. Totally unfilial. Deserve to be stoned. Pardon me, Mom.
There is one particular big section which seems to be very popular with smaller kids (like kindergarden age I suppose). Kids can ride mini car/ train here with their beloved idol, Hello Kitty. While the adults can, uhh, making imaginary call from Hello Kitty's phone booth, which resemble the classic British red phone booth.
Or hoping to go back to school and ride the school bus together with Kitty and friends. Wait, on second thought, I don't particularly like school. They tend to give weird homework which has zero help in adulthood. And my Mom tends to do nearly 80% of my craft-related homework for me since I'm so damn awful doing it.
Ooh library, I wonder if it works like some kind of magic library where creatures can fly out from the books. Hmm, I think I start to mix up Harry Potter and Hello Kitty. Harry Kitty, anyone?
Once you are done checking out all the exhibits at Hello Kitty Island, you can proceed to the last unexplored area in Hello Kitty Island, the souvenir store. You have no other option but to visit the store because this is where the exit door is located. You can find the souvenir featuring other characters from Sanrio such as Rilakkuma and Gudetama too if you are not really a fan of Hello Kitty.
Hmm there's a weird charm that I cannot explain coming out from this lazy annoying egg named Gudetama. It nearly made me want to buy and collect them all I don't know why. I wonder if he has touched on my lazy hidden talent.
