Friday Night Spot at The Daily Scoop Ice Cream Cafe, Holland Village
"Life is like an ice cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time."
Since I have moved to Queenstown, I tend to hang out more often at the Western side of Singapore. This is because my good friend is also staying near Queenstown area too and sometimes, we are too lazy to go somewhere far. Even though I don't think anywhere in Singapore can be classified as "far". Oh wait, Jurong Island is far. Hahaha.
Ok bad joke aside, whenever we feel like going out on a Friday night, we usually ended up at Holland Village area. But instead of the usual crowded area, we decided to venture out to the quieter part of Holland Village. We wanted to treat ourselves ice cream for a tough week that we have endured in the office. So our Friday night spot today is at the Daily Scoop ice cream cafe.
To our surprise, the ice cream cafe is crowded. We barely able to get two chairs and a table for ourselves. If we come in bigger group, a wait is bound to happen. The Daily Scoop ice cream cafe is simple and yet, fun. The wall is painted with cute characters and words.
They have a lot of flavours to choose from. The normal flavours (i.e. non-alcohol) and the connoiseurs flavours (i.e. with alcohol). I love ice cream which is fused with alcohol like bailey's or brandy. Since it's a TGIF after all, I ordered a cup of rum and raisin ice cream for myself. *grin*
