Chasing Sunset from Lovina Beach
Lovina is a tropical island gem located between Bedugul mountain range and the Bali sea. Since we heard so much raving about the beautiful sunset in Bali, we decide to view it exclusively from the fisherman's boat. From Lovina beach, we hired a the fisherman's boat (together with the fisherman because none of us can row a fisherman's boat) and go to the middle of the sea to chase the sunset. We left the beach just at the right moment as the sun is getting nearer to the horizon.
Sunset lasts pretty fast so you better not looking anywhere else when the sun has come down near to the horizon.

The sea was so tranquil when the sun set. The color of the sky it very beautiful during the sunset. All of us went quiet and enjoyed the moment while it lasted.
We can see Bedugul mountain range from the middle of the sea too. The trip to the middle of the sea was really memorable and worthwhile. In addition, Lovina is comparatively quieter and less crowded than the other famous beaches in Bali like Kuta or Tanjong Benoa. If you are looking for a place to relax without having to hustle with so many other tourists, you may want to try staying in a hotel in Lovina area. Other than sunset watching, you can watch the sunrise together with the dolphins. Doesn't that sound awesome?
How to go to Lovina:
1. By taxi
You can take a cab directly from the airport to Lovina. The trip will take approximately 3 hours and it costs 450,000 rupiah (USD 32).
2. By bus
Perama, a bus operator in Bali, offers shuttle buses to Lovina which leave from Bali's major tourist destination such as Kuta, Sanur, and Ubud. The buses are actually mini buses without air-conditioning but it costs way cheaper than taking a cab at 140,000 rupiah (USD 10).
