Taipei Eats: Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Taipei City Hall
We initially thought Gordon Biersch serves German good like sausage and pork knuckle. Turns out it is similar to American restaurant where you can watch sports on telly. The telly is playing NBA but oh well, I'm more interested in the food.
There are three Gordon Biersch in Taiwan. We visited the branch located at level 2 of building A4 of the Shinkong Mitsubishi department store in Xinyi, Taipei City Hall. The setting of the restaurant really reminds me of American diner like Chili's.
Gordon Biersch serves lunch special at the price ranging from NTD360 to NTD580. We ordered Churrasco Steak Tacos (NTD450). The steak tacos are served with black beans. You can request the waiter how well you want your steak to be cooked.
For dessert, we are sharing pecan apple tarts.
The food is okay. The price is normal for a typical Western restaurant in Taipei. So yeah, I guess you can give it a try when you are missing Western food. ^^
