10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Floating Garden Observatory at Umeda Sky Building, Osaka

Even though the observatory deck at the top floor of Umeda Sky Building is named Floating Garden Observatory, there is actually no real garden up here. However, from the 360 degrees observatory deck, you will be able to see the view of Osaka city, even though I personally don't think Osaka city is aesthetically pleasing from the top. Hahaha oops.

For a start, there is no clear direction on where to look or if there is any building in Osaka which is interesting to look at, other than Umeda Sky Building itself. It gets pretty windy up here too so when it's raining I don't think it is the right time to visit Floating Garden Observatory at Umeda Sky Building. Thankfully, it was sunny when we visited.

You may be able to catch planes flying nearby because Osaka Kansai Airport is located pretty near to the city centre.

To spruce up the Floating Garden Observatory deck, visitors are allowed to "lock" their love at the rail surrounding the observatory deck. The locks used by the Japanese are cute because they usually also chain cute stuff like a mini Donald Duck. We also spotted other Disney characters like Monster Inc, too.

Once you have enough fun at Floating Garden Observatory deck, you can make your way down and visit the souvenir store. The souvenir store sells a lot of Osaka snacks like gateau chocolates (not sure if Osaka is famous for chocolate though).

A big box of Pretz. The size of Pretz is just...extraordinary. It has takoyaki flavor. Pretty interesting but the box is too big for me to carry. #cry

You can also find all sorts of souvenirs like keychains and magnets of Umeda Sky Building here.
