10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Studio Museum at Toei Kyoto Studio Park

After my training to become a real ninja at the dojo has been completed, I went on to ask for wisdom from the god of the mountain (which turns out to be bald, uh, oh well). The funny thing about this god is it won't show itself until a few moments later. I think there are story behind this but I don't understand Japanese so yeah, I just waited until he appears at the back of the waterfall. =P

Toei Kyoto Studio Park has become pretty crowded in the afternoon. Civilians, samurai(s), geisha(s) and ninja(s) are blending in together in the midst of the old town of Kyoto.

As the weather has become hotter too, we decided to seek the comfortable shelter of air-conditioner inside one of the buildings. Totally did not know what kind of building this is, but our adventurous side has led us here.

Turns out the building functions as a studio museum and museum store. It exhibits the setting of the inside of traditional Japanese house. You can go in and step on the tatami (re: Japanese mat) but you must take out your shoes prior to coming in.

Traditional Japanese kitchen. I often saw this in the old samurai movies. The Last Samurai perhaps show this kind of kitchen too.

Anyone interested in purchasing the samurai swords? This somehow reminded me of my friend's story when she showed me a picture of her blind date, who happened to pose with samurai sword in his profile picture for one of his social media account. LOL.

A set of dolls depicting the traditional daily life of Japanese people in the old days can be seen here too.

If you are interested, you can buy a lot of souvenirs here from the traditional samurai swords, ninjas' shuriken to the geisha's wooden sandals. If you want to spend more time here, you may plan to stay in one of the hotels in Kyoto as you need at least half a day in Toei Kyoto Studio Park to enjoy all the attractions.
