Indonesia Travel: Uniquely Tofu at Warung Talaga, Summarecon Mal Serpong
I never know that there are so many ways to cook tofu in Indonesia until I visited a restaurant specialised in tofu dish called Warung Talaga in Summarecon Mal Serpong.
We tried two versions of its tofu dish. The first one is called "Tahu Kriuk" which directly translated into crispy fried tofu.
The second dish that we tried is called "Tahu Bodo" by which the tofu is stuffed with chilli. The waiter will ask you how spicy you want the tofu to be. This dish is not for the fainthearted.
The tofu dish is served with special sauce (which is spicy too). So yeah, basically spicy is the most popular taste for Indonesian tastebuds. Hahaha.
If the spiciness is getting too much to take, it can only mean one thing, a time for a dessert! Warung Talaga serves a pretty good Iced Cendol. Make sure to mix the brown sugar which is at the bottom of the glass before you slurp it down. Yummy!
Warung Talaga is originally coming from Bandung but now it can be easily found outside Bandung. For example, it is located at level 1 of Summarecon Mal Serpong just 30 minutes driving from Jakarta (if there is no traffic though).
