Jakarta Eats: Catching the Magical Train at Hans and Belle, Puri Indah Mall
More and more concept cafe are popping up in my hometown, Jakarta. This is good news for mall-hopper like me because well, I really don't know what else to do in Jakarta other than go from one mall to another. It is simply too hot to spend any time outdoor in Jakarta. #foreversummer
My mum, which adopts the same lifestyle with me, brought me to Hans & Belle at Puri Indah Mall to have a cake and cold drinks.
The magical train is referring to the train which is moving at the hanged rail track on top of us. This kinda reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate's factory kind of theme.
Hans & Belle sells a lot of cute stuffs and pretty cakes. You can see the display cakes at the centre pedestal.
The opera cakes are shaped like those cakes served on a dining table at Alice in Wonderland's tea party.
We ordered a glass of iced lychee tea, a glass of iced strawberry tea and an owl chocolate cake. The eyes are actually Oreo cookies. Despite its cute appearance, the cake's taste is...uhh, sadly to say, not that nice. I prefer Colette and Lola's cakes which are sold at Djournal over at the extension of Puri Indah Mall.
The atmosphere at Hans & Belle, however, is more comfortable than Djournal because it is less noisy and hence, offers a perfect set up for a date or a girls' night out.
