Seoul Eats: Gogung, Myeongdong
2AM in the morning. Listening to Epik High. Why not posting about something Korea-ish? Hehe.
Bibimbap is one of my favourite Korean food and during my trip back in 2012, my friend and I stumbled upon awesome restaurant in Myeong-dong which sells bibimbap. It's called Gogung. Here's a picture of the restaurant which is taken from Korea's tourism website.
The restaurant is famous for its Jeonju Bibimbap. Since we came at lunch time, we managed to order the lunch set at KRW20,000 for 2 pax. What a sweet deal. The set comes with two types of bibimbap. The first one is the hot-stoned bibimbap.
The second one is what they call Jeonju Bibimbap. Since it is not served on a hot-stoned bowl, the bibimbap is raw. O_o!
You have a choice between seafood pancake (pajeon) or clear glass-noodle (japchae) for the side dish.
The compulsory refillable side dishes (banchan). Something that I love about Korean restaurant. <3
The meal will not be complete without a glass of makgeoli (milky white rice wine). Yummyyy~~~
Gogung is located on the road straight behind Sejong Hotel in Myeong-dong area. For complete address, please go to this link.
