7D Korea Golden Rama Tour: Dongdaemun Design Plaza

Anyeong! I've always wanted to visit Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) because it has always been featured on so many fashion articles especially when there is fashion show in town. So when there is a free time in the itinerary when we visit Dongdaemun with Golden Rama tour, I dragged my brother to go with me to explore DDP in details. My mom was kinda tired at this point in time because we have been moving from one place to another within a day so we let her rest at one of the benches in front of the building beside Migliore.

DDP has the meaning of Dream, Design and Play. This place is functioning like convention halls where exhibition, fashion shows, forums and conferences are held. You would have probably seen a lot of famous fashion icons from South Korea posing at DDP during Seoul Fashion Week on Instagram. DDP seems to be a hip place to chill and hang out in Seoul as well and there are a number of benches provided where you can just chill out with your friends while having your coffee.

Design pathway, which kinda looks like a tunnel to the other side of the world.

The path from DDP links to Dongdaemun History and Culture Park but we did not have enough time to walk all the way to explore the whole place.

OOTD post like what my brother has instructed me to do. But I think I took better picture of him though. Hahaha.

A cute trailer was spotted near to the tunnel but not sure what it is for. Seems like the kind of trailer used for mobile cafe. Do you know that fans of celebrities in Korea usually give out gift like this to their favourite idol and the idol's staff while they are busy shooting for drama, etc?

Once we are done exploring DDP, we came back to the area near Migliore to pick up Mom. And while we are tracing our way back to the meeting point in front of Doota, we saw Osulloc Tea House. What a yummy finding. I have been hearing raving reviews about the cakes from Osulloc Tea House from whoever visited Seoul before.

Osulloc Tea House is the heaven for green tea lovers. You can enjoy wide variety of teas and cakes. Since we did not have time to sit and chillax at Osulloc Tea House, we decided to just go for the cakes and have them as take-out.

Osulloc Tea House is famous for the green tea rolls but I had no idea that they have so many kind of rolls. Uh oh decision decision.

Finally I chose the green tea sponge cake with green tea fillings (talk about green tea lovers lolz) and my Brother chose the green tea cheese cake.

The cheesecake is filled with another layer of green tea sponge cake. Both cakes taste pretty good, if not the best matcha cakes I have ever tested in my whole life so far.
