10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Butterbeer Fest, Universal Studios Japan
Just like what Harry, Ron and Hermione do in the book and movie, we were so eager to try out the must-have-drink in Hogsmeade, the Butterbeer. However, we were obviously not the only one with Butterbeer in mind, and hence, the long snaking queue. At this point of my journey into Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, I have prepared to queue for anything because apparently the Japanese is willing to queue for basically everything in life. If you don't queue, you don't get anything.
Finally, after I-dunno-how-long-has-it-been, I could finally see the light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel, the Butterbeer menu.
The weather was quite cool that day because we came during spring and hence, a lot of people ordering the usual cold Butterbeer. If you would like to buy Butterbeer with Souvenir, the server will give you a different kind of glass, the kind that you can bring home and re-use again.
Otherwise, the JPY600 Butterbeer is served in a plastic cup. The cup is fancy enough for me. At least there's "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" wording plastered on it. Hahaha.
If you are hungry and want to have some heavy meals, you should proceed to the Three Broomstick. Just like how the inn/pub is described in the book, Three Broomstick is warm and welcoming (even though Madam Rosmerta may not be here at the Three Broomstick in USJ). The restaurant can be quite crowded but it seems that the service provided here is very quick so you can expect a quick turn-over of tables.
Three Broomsticks offers Western food such as fish and chips, cornish pasties and shepherd's pie. Too bad, there is no Firewhiskey served here. =(
If you need more cash, you can always try to spot and catch Sirius Black amongst the crowd. But he's a good guy, ok? Hehe.
