10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Hogwarts Castle at Wizarding World of Harry Potter, USJ
If there is a school that I really wanted to enrol, it has to be Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Imagine yourself studying in a castle located in the mountains near the loch. However, if Scotland is too far away for your budget, you can fly to Japan instead because starting from July 2014, Hogwarts in Universal Studios Japan, Osaka, has started accepting enrolment from children (and adults, I suppose) with magical abilities.
Before enrolling, one must simply wear the correct uniform (the Japanese is really a dedicated bunch, I must say).
If you wear the wrong uniform, you have to wait for 310 minutes before entering Hogwarts Castle. Okay, this apply to everybody with no exception and my first reaction when I saw this was...bloody hell!! I'm not sure if this is the normal waiting time for this attraction because 310 minutes is basically gonna take the most of your time in Universal Studios Japan, really. So yeah, we did not queue up. I guess we have to enrol another time.
We tried our luck at the smaller attraction called Flight of the Hippogriff. Since it is not easy to tame this magical animal, it's probably not that popular right?
Wrong! This simple roller coaster ride required us to queue for three hours. Needless to say, we said bye-bye to the Hippogriff (and let Sirius Black to ride him instead).
Since we did not seem to have any luck at all riding any attractions in Wizarding World of Harry Potter, we decided to watch a show instead. The show is basically inspired by the extravagant skill-show between the three notable magical institutions, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and the Durmstrang Institute.
The show is quite interesting to watch and the boys from Durmstrang Institute are quite eye-candy. I wonder which one is Mr Krum. <3
