10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Pretty Cakes at Seibu Department Store, Ikebukuro
If you are a cake lover, you just need to go inside one of the department store in Japan and you will feel like you are in heaven. Most major department stores in Japan has one level dedicated for food and this usually includes cakes and patisseries. After visiting Kitkat Chocolaterie, we spent some time in the next-door Seibu department store. Immediately we were welcomed by glorious cakes. O_O.
Strawberry cake which is packed individually. It seems that strawberry cake is a popular item in Japan. A lot of anime and manga feature the dessert in the storyline.
The glass display of New York Library confectionary is swarmed by customers. So, we were quite curious at what kind of products do they sell. If you like this brand, you better buy them fast because nearly all the items in the glass display are sold out. Crazy.
This snack named corocoro waffle looks pretty good. Looks like a nice gift to give to a nice friend, too.
Another row of strawberry cakes. The strawberry tarts do have a lot of strawberries on top of them.
Another type of dessert which kinda makes me wonder if they are chewy like Australian's nougat or they are more similar to sponge cakes. Hmm, a mystery which can only be solved by trying some.
Is anyone willing to give it a try?
