10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Yasaka Shrine, Gion
Once we are filled with the okonomiyaki from Issen Yoshoku, we had the strength to continue our walk around Gion. Our next stop is Yasaka Shrine, which is one of the famous shrines in Kyoto. On the way to Yasaka Shrine, we saw an early bloomer. Excited by the pink color, we immediately made our way nearer to the sakura tree.
Aww, it's so refreshing to finally see one of the early bloomers in Kyoto. Sakura trees are really beautiful when the flowers are blooming.
We saw one of the entry of Yasaka Shrine but we did not really have the time to enter the temple. Yasaka Shrine is pretty quiet during spring as it is usually well known for its summer festival, the Gion Matsuri which happens usually in July.
We were pretty much satisfied with the sakura trees and taking all kind of possible pictures with different filters available. Hahaha. #sakuraoverdose
There is no admission taken for the entry to Yasaka Shrine so if you have the time, do give it a visit.
