Singapore Eats: French Japanese Fusion at Miam Miam, Westgate

When Westgate just opened, we did not go there immediately knowing that the place will be crowded. Few months later, we finally decided to venture out to the west to check out Westgate. The first thing that we looked for was the restaurants. And that time, we spotted Miam Miam.

Miam Miam is a fusion restaurant between French and Japanese. It has a few branches in Singapore actually but this was our first time dining in Miam Miam. The restaurant branch at Westgate is pretty big so we did not really have to queue for a long time.

We ordered the restaurant's most popular dish (according to the menu), Miam Miam Capellini. To summarise, Miam Miam Capellini is basically a dry pasta dish served with tomatoes, eggplant, bacon, eggplant, some green veggies and a perfectly soft boiled egg.

Since we wanted to try out two Miam Miam's dessert, we only order one pasta to share amongst the three of us. The most popular sweet dish in Miam Miam is the French Toast. This dish is better eaten while it's hot.

Another dessert that we tried was Matcha Souffle. Watching a number of Masterchef's episodes, souffle is not easy to make so I really appreciate a well-baked souffle. #actlikeachef
