Taiwan Travel: Fort Zeelandia, the ancient days of Anping, Tainan
Fort Zeelandia was a fortress built over ten years by the Dutch East India Company (VOC), in Anping, Tainan. The Dutch ruled western part of Taiwan for 38 years. You can still see the sign of VOC when you visited Fort Zeelandia.
There is a replica of how Anping city looks like from above.
Beside the recreation of Anping city, there is also a miniature of Fort Zeelandia, which was an international business centre in that era.
I could not remember what are there things but they do look like bombs. Hahaha. Let's hope noone burn the string.
When you visit Fort Zeelandia, make sure you check out the outer part of the fort. For a start, there is this big tree which really looks magnificent. But of course, there will be many things to see other than the old tree. =P
