Taiwan Travel: National Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, Taipei
One thing that I love to do on my free time is to visit the local monument. And today, I would like to visit one of the famous monument in Taipei, National Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall (國立國父紀念館/ Guólì guófù jìnià nguǎn). So I quickly hopped into the MRT and go to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall MRT Station.
5 minutes walking from the MRT station, we reached the entrance gate to the monument complex.
The building is surrounded by park and you will see a statue of Dr Sun Yat Sen in front of the park. He looks charismatic indeed.
Just beside the park, lies National Dr Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. Taiwan's government began to prepare the construction of the National Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall in 1964.
The main entrance to the hall contains a statue of Dr Sun Yat Sen.
The Memorial Hall displays the historical relics of Dr Sun's life and the Xinhai Revolution.
Nowadays, the Memorial Hall opens to exhibitions and performance as it has performance halls, exhibition rooms and lecture halls. There is no fees charged for the admission to the Memorial Hall. So if you have time, you should make a visit to this historical place.
