10D9N Spring Japan Trip: Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage, Tokyo Disneysea
The most beautiful thing about Tokyo Disneysea is the transition between one segment of the theme park to the other. The transition in between Lost River Delta (the area where Indiana Jones ride is located) and the Arabian world is so smooth, one can think that they have taken a voyage ride from one island to another island.
After our ship docked, we have officially landed at the Arabian land, where the enchanted story of Aladdin was inspired from. Aladdin was my first Disney movie in the cinema and I still think that it is one of the best classic Disney movies ever made until this day.
The ride that we are gonna take next is pretty random though. For a start, I don't think this ride is related to any Disney movie or character at all.
The ride is named Sindbad's Storybook Voyage. You don't really need a fast pass to ride this because the queue moves along pretty fast. I guess, this ride is not really one of the top most popular rides in Tokyo Disneyland, at least for the Japanese.
Sindbad's Storybook Voyage is apparently a boat ride which is pretty similar to Hong Kong Disneyland's It's A Small World ride. However, for the storyline, it has adopted the story of Sindbad and his adventure to beat the evil guy.
The detail of the moving dolls along the ride is just amazing. They managed to make the genie looks pretty threatening without being too scary for the kids.
Oh right, so here is Sindbad. The boat ride is pretty long but comfortable. This is the perfect ride to take if you'd like to take a break from all those queuing and walking in Tokyo Disneysea. Since the ride is indoor, you can also hide from the heat or the cold weather outside.
